Robb Todd has played guitar since he was four years old. “Growing up in Los Angeles during the eighties was amazing. I enjoyed learning band production from Harry Haley at Haleys Lightning Sound in Pensacola, FL. I was fortunate to be a part of some truly great bands like Hippie Smack (in Columbus, GA) and The Rat Race (in Montgomery, AL),” says Robb. He has been the driving force behind Damn Skippy for over 20 years. He has in the past been endorsed by brands such as Warwick and Ampeg, and currently holds endorsements from Trace Elliot, DR Strings, and S&L Vapes. He always strives to align with great players to make himself a better player! Ultimately for Robb, being able to play well is only half of putting on a great show, and entertaining the crowd is also very important to him. His motto: Rock out with your cock out!
Kyle Netherland has played in bands like Sol’, Spent, The Alchemy Effect, Audiopathic, Second Hand Ego, and Damn Skippy. He’s been drumming for 20 years now and is Endorsed by Split Nail Drums. He’s been lucky to open for bands like Sevendust, Nonpoint, Taproot, Saliva, Fuel, Foxy Shazam, Bobaflex, and many more. Bands that influence him include Radiohead, Mutemath, Twelve Foot Ninjas, Deftones, John Butler Trio, Muse, Puscifer, and Queens of the Stone Age. Right now the song he’s playing on repeat is “Do you feel me” by Anthony Hamilton. Sometimes you just gotta listen to other genres of music for inspiration.
Stubbs started playing guitar at the age of 16. “‘When I bought The Song Remains the Same live DVD and saw Jimmy Page play, I knew that was what I wanted to do with my life,” he said. Before picking up the guitar, he was a trumpet player. He graduated from the Schwob School of Music in 2007, and now teaches for Muscogee County Schools and Gorilla Guitars in Columbus GA.
His main guitar influences are: Randy Rhoads, Dimebag Darrell, Zakk Wylde, Eddie Van Halen, Slash, & Jimi Hendrix just to name a few. Since joining Skippy, Stubbs has been introduced to Gibson, ESP, and Charvel Guitars, Peavey 6505, Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, Shure Wireless, and a great group of friends.
Hawk has been singing his whole life. Rumor has it… he came out singing Enter Sandman to the doctor. Damn Skippy and Big Skinny are the two major bands with whom he has performed in his long and mysterious career. His unpredictability is what sets him apart from other singers!! If you saw him walking down the street, you might not recognize him from a show because he’s very likely to be in full makeup on stage…and it’s never the same show twice. He also has a unique tone that sets him apart from other singers.
